Additionally, properly bagged smaller items that will not fit in a curb cart, can also be picked up for an additional charge. If you have a garden, one thing you can do is just dump your excess leaves there and let them compost on top of the soil over the winter. If your property is adjacent to wooded areas that allow you to blow the leaves into it, please do so, as leaves will decompose, returning essential nutrients back into the soil, providing for a healthier environment for your trees. DO NOT bag your leaves, and keep leaf piles clear of storm drains to prevent flooding. Place leaves only ( mixed piles will not be collected ) at the edge of the curb, and not in the traffic lane. As a reminder, Please adhere to the following guidelines. Once completed, weather permitting, they will begin a second pass. We will continue the process through Zones H, I, J, A, B, C, D and E until all zones have had a first pass. DPW leaf pickup crews have begun the first pass in Zone G.
